T1 defeated Movistar KOI 2–0 in the fourth Swiss round of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship on October 28. The Korean team reached three Swiss victories and secured a quarterfinal berth. KOI, after opening the event 2–0, have suffered consecutive defeats against Dplus KIA and T1.

The first game was competitive until a critical dragon fight changed the balance. Doran on Ambessa and Oner on Lee Sin played important roles in turning that opportunity into objectives and a decisive lead. The first map ended 20–10 in kills according to match records.

The second game was more one-sided. T1 progressively extended their gold lead, with Peyz on Jhin and Keria on Karma helping control the fights. The 22–9 kill score underlined the gap. KOI remain 2–2 and must win their last Swiss series to advance.

What the result means for both teams

T1 finish the decisive qualifying step at 3–1 and await the knockout draw. Assigning them a quarterfinal opponent before that draw would be premature.

Movistar KOI play a final best-of-three series at 2–2. Winning means qualification; losing means elimination. Their next matchup is determined by the final Swiss pairings.
